MARK

PATRICK

Dr. Mark Patrick has been in practice since 1989, focusing in the areas of sports and nutrition.  Dr. Patrick graduated from the University of  Georgia in 1984 with a degree in microbiology and then graduated from Life University College of Chiropractic in 1986. He worked with competitive edge strength treating professional bound football, golf,and baseball players from 2005 to 2008, alongside Dr. Brad Hodgson who handled the orthopedic  treatment. He  focuses on manual  soft tissue treatments, chiropractic, and exercise  rehabilitation. He has a passion to find the cause of the problem, it just treat symptoms.

Dr. Patrick is married to Bonnie Patrick and have a daughter, Lauren who is the light of their life. Dr Patrick's hobbies include golf and tennis.

BRAD
HODGSON

Dr Brad Hodgson PhD, OPA-C, a Wisconsin native, has been involved in sports medicine for greater than 15 years in several different capacities. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Winona State University in Winona, MN he relocated to Atlanta in the summer of 2000 to pursue a Masters Degree in Sports Medicine at Georgia State University. While enrolled at Georgia State he worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Georgia Tech working closely with the Football and Women's volleyball teams. He earned his Master's Degree and was asked to stay on at Georgia State Univeristy and pursue a Doctoral Degree in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitative Science. While completing this degree he taught undergraduate and graduate classes and completed research focused on injury prevention and rehabilitation. Also while finishing his degree he worked as a personal trainer earning the distinction of one of America's top 50 personal trainers in 2004.

 

After completing his studies in 2005 Brad left the academic field and began working for Atlanta Rehabilitation and Performance center as a Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainer. He worked with athletes of all ages and all skill levels. His main responsibility was Grayson High School one of the largest public high schools in the state of Georgia. While he worked for Atlanta Rehab he also worked as a contracted Athletic Trainer for Competitive Edge Sports providing rehabilitative services to collegiate football players bound for the NFL Draft.

 

After leaving Atlanta Rehab, Brad worked as a physician extender for an orthopaedic practice in Snellville, GA where he honed his hands on evaluation and diagnostic skills. He also became very proficient at providing therapeutic injections and interpreting diagnostic studies. Brad became certified as an Orthopaedic Tech and Orthopaedic Physician's Assistant and eventually found himself working side by side with the surgeons in his practice in the operating room. 

 

Brad currently lives with his wife Keri and daughter Kendall in Loganville, GA. His relationship with Dr Patrick spans back greater than 10 years to their days together at Competitive Edge Sports. He currently works for Barbour Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine as a physician extender.
